love making things. If there was a word stronger than love, I’d use it here. From an early age, I was fascinated with the idea that if something didn't exist, I could create it. I could manufacture it. I could make it. Anything. Fast forward into my teenage years, I began an interest in a multitude of hobbies,
which included drawing, making ceramics, sewing, knitting, filmmaking, designing, and painting. My siblings and I often did creative collaborations together. At the age of 15, a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Allen encouraged me to put more into my drawing abilities. It was then that I started drawing with careful attention to realism, which would become something I spent hours and years doing.
I went on to study Fine Art at the University of Tulsa with a double major in Mechanical Engineering. An interesting combination, I always had a passion for creating and building. I continued adopting new ways to express creativity throughout my studies as well as my personal interests.
Whatever I’m doing, I enjoy the careful observation and study behind what I’m creating. If I’m drawing a person, I like to study their face, their personality, their expression of life. I try to convey what their eyes are truly saying when they smile. If I’m making a logo or branding someone, I like to bring out the “why” of what they’re doing, and who they are.
Create. Life's more fun that way.
